Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
- The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their fifth monthly exhibition for 2012 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm this evening. Tonight's exhibition is the 14th annual Acquisitive Art Prize and it features a very wide range of works in oils, acrylics, pastels and water colours, as well as hand-made pottery - all on the topic "Year Of The Farmer". As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great finger foods and wine tastings from a South Burnett winery. Admission is $5 and everyone is very welcome to attend! More details? Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). - The Wondai Country Club on the Bunya Highway at Wondai will be holding a Trivia Night from 7:00pm onwards this evening (first questions get asked at 7:30pm sharp). Friday Night Live - Murgon
- The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding another of its "Friday Night Live" sessions from 6:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. Friday Night Live is open to all primary school and high school students and the get-together features music and a range of activities to suit everyone. Dinner is also provided and so is free bus travel from Goomeri and Wondai (the Goomei bus will leave Dickenson's Park at 5:30pm and return at 9:15pm; and the Wondai bus will leave from the Timber Industry Museum at 5:30pm and return at 9:15pm).
