South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Winter Warmers - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Suicide Prevention working group is inviting everyone to rug up and come along to a free Winter Warmers community gathering in the Town Hall Forecourt in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 5:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. The get-together will feature live music from Amber Goldsmith and warming winter foods supplied by the Kingaroy Men's Shed and Endeavour Foundation - just BYO chairs and/or blankets, plus cash for raffles and a hot beverage of your choice.
Career Expo - Murgon
A Career Expo will be held at the Murgon-Cherbourg Youth Hub at Murgon State High School in Gore Street from 10:00am to 3:00pm today. The Expo will feature information stores from employers and education providers, along with a range of gust speakers. There's no entry fee and all senior high school students are welcome. Kingaroy RSL Bingo

Line Dancing - Yarraman

Friday Social Golf - Proston
The Proston Golf Club on Brigooda Road, Proston will be holding a Friday afternoon social golf game today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and everyone is welcome. Social Cards - Nanango

The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) from 9:00am to around 11:30am this morning. Public Meeting - Nanango
The Nanango Tourism and Development Association (NaTDA) will be holding a public meeting at Tipperary Flat on the D'Aguilar Highway north of the CBD at 9:00am this morning with South Burnett Mayor Brett Otto, Councillors and Council staff to consider ideas about upgrades that can be made to the park ahead of Nanango's 175th birthday celebrations next year. All interested people are encouraged to attend.
Friday Night Football
The South Burnett's frequently interrupted 2022 soccer competition will continue at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy at 6:15pm tonight when Nanango's lady Panthers take on Kingaroy East's women. Spectators are very welcome. Note: Two other games in the latest round will be played at the same venue tomorrow and next Wednesday.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). And anyone who's finding it hard to make ends meet is very welcome to make use of it. More details? Phone James on 0438-071-658.
