Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Avocado Festival

The second day of the weekend-long Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Avocado Festival will be held in Blackbutt today. While Sunday isn't quite as jam-packed as Saturday's main festival day, there'll still be bucketloads of stalls and displays to browse all over the Blackbutt CBD and along Hart Street down to the Blackbutt Showgrounds. All today's Avocado Festival activities are completely free and the festival is designed to be family-friendly (there's even a dedicated entertainment area for children). Everyone is welcome! You can also read a report and see photos of what last year's festival was like on our website.
Heritage Nanango Country Music Muster
The final day of the 2016 Heritage Nanango Country Muster will wrap up at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street, Nanango today with a Bush Poet's Breakfast between 7:00am and 9:30am, followed by a Gospel Music Concert from 9:30am until noon. Last year's Gospel Music Concert drew a standing ovation for a performance by the South Burnett's Jeff Hancox, so it's well worth seeing - and admission to the Muster today is completely free. After lunch, weary Muster enthusiasts will begin to wend their way home. And with 600 to 800 caravans parked at the Nanango Showgrounds for most of the week, you can expect above-normal traffic on the roads this afternoon and evening.
