South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Take To The Track Challenge - Nanango
POSTPONED: If you like racing, the South Burnett Go-Kart Track on the D'Aguilar Highway just south of Nanango is the place to be today. Local police are holding a "Take To The Track Challenge" charity fundraiser from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and you'll be able to race against the police to your heart's content. There'll also be road safety displays, an impaired/distracted driving simulator, a jumping castle and a sausage sizzle. Everyone is welcome! Note: Due to wet weather, this event has been postponed to October 29.
Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their fourth bi-monthly Sunday social for 2016 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!
Sunday Social Bowls - Yarraman

Car Boot Sale, Market Stalls & Car Wash - Kingaroy
A Car Boot Sale, Market Stalls and Car Wash will be held in front of the Adventist Church at 200 Youngman Street in Kingaroy from 7:00am to 1:00pm today. These new markets feature produce, fruit and vegetables and are held on the third Sunday of each month, and fees are $10 per stall or car boot. More details? Bookings? Rock & Roll Dance Lessons - Nanango
Rock & Roll Dance Lessons will be held at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango from 1:00pm to 3:00pm this afternoon. The cost for a 2-hour lesson is $10 and beginners are very welcome. Classes are being held fortnightly in preparation for this year's Waterhole Rocks rock & roll festival on October 14-16, and you can read more about them (and see videos) on our website.
Timbertown Woodworkers Group - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. South Burnett Tabletop Gamers - Kingaroy
South Burnett Tabletop Gamers is a small but passionate tabletop games club servicing the South Burnett. Members' core interests usually cover a wide range of board, card and miniatures games, but the group is always on the lookout for new games to play. The main systems current members do play include Warhammer 40k/30k (Games Workshop), Mordheim, 9th Age, Batman Miniatures Game (Knight Models), Infinity (Corvus Belli), Star Wars X-Wing (Fantasy Flight), Magic the Gathering (Wizards), Pokemon TCG, Wrath of Kings (Cool Mini or Not) and a variety of other board games. The group meets at the 1913 Council Chambers behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street, Kingaroy every second Sunday from 10:00am until around 4:00pm. More details? The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and and freshly harvested foodstuffs and everyone is welcome along!
Kingaroy Junior Redbacks MiniRoos Carnival
The Kingaroy Junior Redbacks soccer club will be running their annual MiniRoos Carnival at the Kingaroy junior soccer fields in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy this morning. A canteen and Domino's Pizza will be operating in the grounds, and spectators are very welcome.
Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra - Cherbourg
The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra will be running a Spring workshop and concert at the Cherbourg Sports Centre in Cherbourg today. The workshop for young people aged 10 to 22 will be held at 11:00am and this will be followed by a concert at 2:00pm. Everyone is welcome, and you can book places at either event - they're both free - on the BRYO website.
Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally - Kingaroy
The second (and final) day of the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 9:00am and 12:00 noon today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, sled pulling, ploughing, ring events and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll also be a barbecue, food and drink stalls operating all day too. Exhibitors from other clubs are also very welcome, but you'll need to arrange your own public liability insurance (which will be sighted on arrival). Special features of this year's rally include vintage military machinery, farm pumpers and a celebration of 90 years of Stihl. Admission is $10, but under-12s can get in for free. Nanango Home Produce Share
The monthly Nanango Home Produce Share will be held in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:00am to about 10:30am this morning. The share is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped) and it has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group.
