South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Ocean Commotion Kids Club - Murgon
The Barambah Ministers Association will be running an Ocean Commotion Kids Club at The Shed at Murgon State School from 9:30am to around 1:00pm today. This school holiday activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 and offers free fun, sports, crafts and friendship. A free little lunch will be provided, too, and there will be a bus picking up children from Wondai at 9:00am at Coronation Park in the centre of town and leaving at 9:20am (sign in will be at the bus) which will bring the children back to the same place around 1:15pm. There will also be a bus pickup at Cherbourg at around 9:30am (leaving around 10:15am) and dropping the children back at around 12:30pm. All young children are welcome.
Tuesday Morning Croquet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. New members are always welcome and a $2 lesson is available if you'd like tuition in the basics (all equipment is supplied). More details? Phone (07) 4163-6022.
Wine & Cheese Night - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Art Gallery in Coulson Street, Blackbutt will be holding holding a Wine and Cheese night from 6:00pm onwards tonight. South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell, Cr Spud Jones and Cr Danita Potter will be special guests and there'll also be live music. Guests can get to meet the Gallery's artists and enjoy the diverse range of art on display, including pottery, jewellery, photography, leather work and fine art in all mediums. Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy
The Tuesday night men's basketball competition will be running at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium from 4:30pm onwards this evening. Five A-grade and six B-grade sides will battle it out, and spectators are very welcome.
Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Tuesday Night Dance Lessons - Kumbia
Dancing lessons will be held in the Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia from 7:30pm to around 9:30pm this evening. Beginners are very welcome, but all skill levels are catered for. More details? Phone David on 0459-228-882.
Tuesday Night Indoor Bowls - Wondai
The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Three games of 12 ends are played, lasting up to three hours, and playing fees are $3. Proston Men's Shed
The Proston Men's Shed will be meeting at the old railway station building at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston for its regular Tuesday meeting today, kicking off with a cuppa at 9:00am. Proston Over 50s Club
The Proston Over 50s Club will be holding their regular third Tuesday of the month meeting and social at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am onwards today. The $2 admission fee includes morning tea and there'll be a communal lunch at around noon (bring along a plate to share). Members take part in various games, lucky door prizes and progressive raffles, and membership is just $5 per year, with bus trips are organised throughout the year. New members are always welcome! Wine & Food In The Park AGM - Kingaroy
The Wine & Food In The Park festival committee will be meeting at 5:30pm this evening at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre at 6 Cornish Street in Kingaroy. Tonight's meeting is also the group's Annual General Meeting, and all interested people are welcome to attend.
