Bush Vaccination Bus - Cooyar
Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN will be bringing its Bush Vax bus to Cooyar's Memorial Park in McDougall Street from 1:30pm to 4:30pm this afternoon to offer free Pfizer vaccinations to residents who want to avoid the worst of the Delta COVID outbreak expected to sweep across Queensland when the borders come down in mid-December. Wednesday Night Dance Classes - Inverlaw
Dance classes will be held at Inverlaw Hall on Burrandowan Road at Inverlaw from 7:30pm tonight. The classes are a great way to learn ballroom dancing classics like the Quick Step, Jazz Waltz, Swing Waltz, Evening Three Step and many more, and class fees are just $4. More details? Wednesday Bingo - Kumbia
RSL Bingo will be played at Kumbia Hall in Bell Street today, with a daytime session starting at 10:00am (for a 10:30am start) and an evening session running at 6:00pm (for a 6:30pm start). Today's bingo games will be offering Jackpot Prizes starting at $50, a Lucky Door prize, a meat raffle, food and drinks and they're being run with assistance from Kingaroy RSL. Everyone is welcome!
South Burnett Business Breakfast - Nanango
A South Burnett Business Breakfast will be held at Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 6:00am this morning (for a 6:30am start). Kingaroy McDonalds owner Andrea Steele and Carl Rackemann from Oz Value Ag will be special guest speakers, and a hot breakfast and barista-made coffee are included in the $25 per head ticket price. Pop-Up Vax Clinic - Kingaroy
A pop-up vaccination clinic will be run by the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:30am to 6:30pm today. The clinic will administer first and second doses of Pfizer vaccine to anyone aged 12 or older, and walk-ins are very welcome. Entry is via Gate 3 in Youngman Street and exit is via Avoca Street. Note: This clinic will run daily until Friday lunch-time.
Better Sleep & Stress Management - Proston
Proston Community Health will be holding a workshop at the Proston Community Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am to 1:00pm today. The workshop will be led by clinical psychologist Dr Tim Driscoll from the Royal Flying Doctor Service and will look at how to achieve better sleep, how to manage stress and how to improve mental health over the Christmas period. Public Consultation Meeting - Murgon
A public consultation meeting to discuss planned upgrades to Murgon's QEII park in Lamb Street will be held in the park at 5:30pm this afternoon. Local residents have already submitted a number of ideas for upgrades at a previous public meeting, and the purpose of today's get-together is to take further suggestions and then pass the matter over to Council officers so they can come up with an initial draft plan for further discussions and refinements in the near future. All interested people are encouraged to attend.

Artisan Soap & Candle Making Workshop - Moffatdale
Raukawa Cottage at Steinhardts Road in Moffatdale will be holding an Artisan Soap & Candle Making Workshop from 9:00am to around noon today. For $85 per head, guests can learn how to make their own soap and/or candles, and take home eight soaps and a large soy candle afterwards. The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Proston
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Proston every Wednesday from 6:00pm to around 7:30pm at the old railway station at Railway Park in Rodney Street, and members who can't make it in person can join in the meeting online via Zoom. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
