South Burnett not-for-profit associations will receive more than $406,000 in the latest round of the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants.
Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington welcomed the announcement on Tuesday of the Round 126 grants.
Successful applicants were:
- Blackbutt Agricultural Show Society – construct shelter – $35,000
- Blackbutt Singers – buy equipment and develop a logo – $6595.26
- Burnett News – buy equipment – $11,975
- Cloyna Hall Committee – upgrade facility – $35,000
- Ironpot Hall Association – upgrade facility – $22,500
- Kilkivan State School P&C – upgrade facility – $35,000
- Kingaroy Aero Modellers Society – buy mower – $25,500
- Manumbar Campdraft and Hall Association – upgrade facility and buy equipment – $28,495
- Murgon and District Tennis Association – upgrade facility – $14,569.76
- Nanango Bowls Club – upgrade facility – $35,000
- Nanango Rugby League Football Club – upgrade facility – $25,146
- Rodeo Youth Development & Education – buy equipment – $30,800
- South Burnett Suicide Prevention Working Group – upgrade facility – $33,200
- Wondai and District Men’s Shed – upgrade facility – $24,482.50
- Yarraman Amateur Swimming Club – buy equipment – $8117
- Yarraman State School P&C – upgrade facility – $35,000
“These grants provide vital support for community and sporting organisations, helping them upgrade facilities, deliver programs and strengthen the social fabric of our region,” Mrs Frecklington said.
“Local volunteers and organisations do an incredible job supporting the South Burnett, often going above and beyond to make a difference. This funding helps ease financial pressures and gives them the resources they need to continue building stronger, more connected communities.
“Every project funded through this round represents a genuine investment in our region. I look forward to seeing these initiatives come to life and the lasting benefits they will bring to local communities.”
She encouraged community groups to watch for announcements regarding the opening of Round 127.
