A driver has been issued with a traffic infringement notice after a collision at the intersection of Industrial Avenue and Kingaroy-Cooyar Road in Kingaroy.

Police were called to the incident about 7:40am last Tuesday.

Police allege a Mazda utility travelling east on Industrial Avenue failed to give way to a Holden travelling south on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road.

The driver of the ute, a 53-year-old Tingoora man, was transported to hospital with minor injuries and was later issued with the ticket for driving without due care and attention ($522 fine).

A woman aged in her 60s was transported to hospital on Monday morning after a single-vehicle crash at Glastonbury.

The woman’s vehicle ran off Glastonbury Road shortly before 9:30am and overturned.

She was transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.

Police were called to a vehicle fire on Corndale Road on Saturday night about 11:30pm.

Emergency services found the Ford sedan completely engulfed.

Investigations revealed the driver had drifted off the road and the vehicle had been abandoned.

The cause of the fire appears to be the hot exhaust setting fire to grass under the vehicle.

Inquiries to locate the owner at the time were unsuccessful.

Police later received a complaint from a 26-year-old Kingaroy woman that the vehicle and had been stolen.

Investigations are continuing.

A 19-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with road racing after an alleged incident in William Street, Kingaroy, on Sunday afternoon. 

Police will allege they saw the Holden ute do a burn out at the intersection of Alford Street and William Street about 12:10pm.

This vehicle was being followed closely by another Holden ute.

Police say both vehicles appearing to be racing each other.

The officers  followed the vehicles to an Alford Street address.

Inquiries are continuing to locate the driver of the second vehicle.

Both vehicles have been immobilised for 90 days.
