Detectives have charged an 18-year-old Murgon man with 42 offences following investigations into numerous incidents across Brisbane and Kingaroy.

It will be alleged the man committed the offences – including car theft, a string of break-ins and attempted break-ins – between September 4 and September 11.

Suburbs where the offences were allegedly committed included Ascot, Camp Hill, Carina Heights, Clayfield, Coopers Plains, Coorparoo, Hamilton, Heathwood, Holland Park, Inala, Kingaroy, Margate, Moorooka, Murarrie, Oxley, Pullenvale, Stones Corner, Sunnybank, Wavell Heights, Wooloowin and Yeerongpilly.

A police spokesperson said extensive investigations were conducted by property crime teams from Upper Mount Gravatt, Holland Park, Hendra, Carseldine, Centenary and Indooroopilly as well as the Kingaroy CIB.

Police arrested the man last Friday in Heathwood with the assistance of POLAIR and the Brisbane Dog Squad.

He was refused police bail and was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
