Three South Burnett school-leavers have earned a Queensland University of Technology Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, proving they are amongst the top achievers in the State.

Each year QUT offers 70 academic scholarships valued at $25,000 each as well as 35 valued at $6500 to high-achieving school leavers.

Another 10 valued at $25,000 are awarded to high-achieving students who excel in sport.

The 2012 Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients include Michael Archdall (Bachelor of Business) from Nanango State High School, Jarred Gunn (Bachelor of Design – Architectural Studies) from Kingaroy State High School, and Mikeekly Roberts (Bachelor of Exercise and Movement Science / Bachelor of Education – Secondary), from Nanango State High School.

Applications for the 2013 round of QUT Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships open on August 1 and close on November 16.

Scholarship recipients also become members of the QUT College of Excellence and may be able to do accelerated degrees and become QUT student ambassadors.
