Maidenwell Bull Ride
- POSTPONED The annual Maidenwell Bull Ride will be running this afternoon and evening behind the Maidenwell Hotel. The event is an important fundraiser for the Tanduringie State School P&C. Gates will open at 4:30pm and the event will run to approximately 9:00pm. This year's fundraiser is being supported by Bendigo Bank and G3 Engineering but there will be a few changes in order to comply with regulations to make it a COVID-safe event. This is an affiliated NRA Bull Ride and there will be Open/Novice/U18 Bull Rides, U15/U12 Mini Bull Ride and a Local U12 Ride. As well as the action in the ring, there will also be a "Wooly Bully" comedy act. The Maidenwell Hotel will be selling drinks and the P&C will once again be supplying meals. Entry fees are $15 for adults and $10 for high school students (primary and under free). A family pass (two adults and two high school students) is also available for $40. More information? Maidenwell Easter Running Festival
- UPDATE: The festival is going ahead but in a reduced format. Today is the last day of the annual Maidenwell Easter Running Festival which is returning after last year's COVID-enforced cancellation. Events kick off about 6:00am and will wrap up about noon. There will be a half-marathon and marathon today plus 10km and 5km events. More information is available on the Run Maidenwell website
Amanda Sempf - Bunya Mountains

Kumbia Campdraft
- The second (and final) day of the two-day Kumbia & District Charity Campdraft will be held at the Kumbia Sportsgrounds off Bell Street in Kumbia from 6:00am this morning when the canteen opens up for Big Country Breakfasts through until late this afternoon. This year's Campdraft will have a bumper field of competitors and will be offering some really great Easter campdrafting action, with today's competitions featuring a continuation of the first round on a combined Maiden/Novice Draft, followed by a Junior draft and a Juvenile draft, and then the finals of the Maiden, Novice and Open drafts begun yesterday. Admission to the campdraft is 100% free for spectators. There's also free overnight camping in the Sportsgrounds all weekend if you want to stay over. Everyone is welcome! More details? Yarraman Country Music Friends
- The Country Music Friends will be holding their first Sunday of the month informal concert at the Yarraman Community Hall in Browne Street from 1:00pm this afternoon. Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Moffatdale Boutique Markets
- The Moffatdale Boutique Markets will be running Easter Markets at Moffatdale Ridge Winery at 681 Barambah Road, Moffatdale from 8:00am to around 4:00pm this afternoon. As many as 60 stall-holders will be attending, offering artisnal and hand-made wares. Moffatdale Ridge's cellar door will also be open, offering a full range of wines and liqueurs. - The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Linville Easter Mini Music Festival
- The Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville will be hosting the second day of a mini three-day Easter music festival in the pub's beer garden today, featuring Matthew Wild over lunch. The hotel's kitchen will be open, there's no admission and everyone is welcome. There's also free camping across the road in Linville Station park if you'd like to stay overnight. More details? South Burnett Speedway
- CANCELLED The South Burnett Speedway will roar into life at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy tonight with the second (and final) day of the club's two-day Easter Stampede meeting, which promises to be another really great night out for speedway fans. Tonight's meeting will feature Production Sedans, Street Stocks and Modified Sedans. There'll also be canteen facilities operating onsite and camping is available, too, if you want to stay over. Gates will open at 4:00pm, racing will start at 5:00pm and the excitement will continue until around 10:30pm tonight. Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for students (with ID) and aged or disability pensioners or $65 for a family of two adults and up to three students (children 12 and under are free). Everyone is welcome!
Ken and Annie’s Music Campout Festival - Blackbutt
- CANCELLED: Singers and poets of all experience levels will be performing at Ken and Annie’s Music Campout Festival at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from today through to Easter Sunday. This tagalong tour festival will be coming to Blackbutt with 80 caravans in tow and it will feature workshops and open microphone sessions where participants can put what they've learned to the test. The event is open to everyone - whether they're tone deaf or pitch perfect - and admission for the general public is a slim $2 per day.
