Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers Muster - Boondooma
- The third day of the six-day Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today. This popular annual campout week features lots of Australia's top bush balladeers and poets along with walk-up artists. The Muster routinely attracts 700 to 800 caravanners plus day-trippers, and in addition to bucketloads of non-stop music there'll also be great camp oven meals, a licensed bar, barbecue, stalls and historic displays. Admission is $110 per person for the festival. Bookings are essential as COVID-19 restrictions apply. Tickets can be booked online (day rates also available). Bush camping is also available on-site and can be booked by phoning the Homestead's caretakers on (07) 4168-0159. NB. No EFTPOS available on site.
South Burnett Ag Network Meeting - Kingaroy
- UPDATE: This has been relocated to the Town Hall Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy The South Burnett Ag Network will be holding a workshop to discuss protected plant regulations at the Kingaroy Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy at 6:30pm tonight. Representatives from the Department of Environment & Science, Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service and Wildlife & Threatened Species Operations will be providing updates on current legislation and there'll be a light supper provided as well. The workshop is free, but to assist with COVID restrictions and help plan the catering, registration is required. You can reserve a seat on BIEDO's website
Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Drought Assistance BBQ - Kingaroy
- Farmers who are being financially impacted by the drought have been invited to attend a free Drought Assistance BBQ organised by Kingaroy Rotary which will be held at the Glendon Street Forecourt in Kingaroy from 3:00pm to 7:00pm this afternoon. Apart from a free BBQ, farmers who can present their Property Identification Code number (or their National Growers Registration number if they're broadacre farmers) will receive a $500 voucher (but only one voucher will be available per family). All droughted farmers are encouraged to attend - the vouchers are being sponsored by the Federal Government's Drought Communities Outreach Program.

South Burnett Public Art Roundtable - Wondai
- The quarterly South Burnett Public Art Roundtable will be held at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery opposite the roundabout in Wondai from 10:00am to 12:00 noon today. The Arts Roundtable is an opportunity to bring together the South Burnett arts community to network and share ideas, opportunities and future plans with each other. Today's meeting will receive updates from South Burnertt Arts, the South Burnett Regional Council, CQRASN and the Murgon Show Society. Everyone is welcome and there's no admission.
South Burnett Gem & Fossicking Club
- The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club will be holding their regular Thursday meeting at their club's workshop in the shed at the rear of 44 Alford Street, Kingaroy from 8:30am to around 2:30pm today. Wesleyan Food Hampers - Nanango
- Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 8:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers are available for a modest price ($30 to $40) for people facing financial difficulties.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
