Changes To Queensland Smoking Laws New laws which come into effect today will further limit the places where smokers can light up. From today, smoking will be banned within ten metres of skate parks and playgrounds. Smoking will also be banned at public swimming pool complexes. The new laws are designed to protect children from the dangers of second-hand smoke, and smokers can be fined for breaching them. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. David Bryce Centenary Art Exhibition - Kingaroy The David Bryce Centenary Art Exhibition will be on display at the Kingaroy Art Gallery in Haly Street, Wondai (just opposite the peanut silos) from 10:00am to 4:00pm today. David Bryce was one of the South Burnett's most celebrated artists, and would have turned 100 this year had he still been alive. This special exhibition of more than 140 of his paintings and sculptures - drawn from private and public collections - is the largest single display of his work ever seen. Several of Bryce's works are now part of the Queensland Art Gallery's collection, and many others are part of the South Burnett Regional Council's collection. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further.
