NAIDOC Community Open Day - Cherbourg

Cherbourg will be celebrating NAIDOC Week with a NAIDOC Community Open Day at the Ration Shed Museum in Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg from 10:30am onwards today. There'll be a free BBQ, live music, cultural dancers, weaving, art activities, film screenings, fun activities for children and much more. Meanwhile, the Cherbourg Health Service will be holding their annual Health Expo in their grounds in Fisher Street from 10:00am to 2:00pm today. Apart from lots of good (and free) information on health and nutrition, the Expo will also be offering a range of free health checks for things like blood pressure, blood glucose levels, haemoglobin and weight, along with a free BBQ lunch and activities for children. Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy

The Tuesday night men's basketball competition will be running at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium from 4:30pm onwards this evening. Five A-grade and six B-grade sides will battle it out, and spectators are very welcome.

Danny's Diner - Kingaroy

Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
