South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their third bi-monthly Sunday social for 2016 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!
Car Boot Sale, Market Stalls & Car Wash - Kingaroy
A Car Boot Sale, Market Stalls and Car Wash will be held in front of the Adventist Church at 200 Youngman Street in Kingaroy from 7:00am to 1:00pm today. Regional Karaoke Sing-Off For Kids - Wondai
The first heat of the Wondai Show Society's brand new Regional Karaoke Sing-Off for children will be held at Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 12:30pm to 2:00pm this afternoon. This new competition is searching for the best karaoke singers in the region, and they'll be in the running to win $2500 in cash prizes at this year's Wondai Show. The children's section of the competition is open to young people aged 8 to 15 and any child not selected in today's heat is welcome to retry at a second heat which will be held on Sunday, August 7. South Burnett Gem Fossicking Club - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Gem Fossicking Club will be holding a meeting at 25 Redmans Road in Kingaroy at 1:30pm this afternoon. The meeting is open to anyone interested in gemstones, minerals, fossils, fossicking or lapidary, and if you're attending you should bring a chair and a plate of nibbles for a shared afternoon tea (tea and coffee will be provided). Kilkivan Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Nanango Home Produce Swap
The third Nanango Home Produce Swap will be held in the Coach House in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:30am to about 10:30am this morning. The swap is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped), and the event has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group. SB Gender Alliance Social BBQ - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Gender Alliance will be holding a social BBQ at River Road Park in River Road, Kingaroy (the one with the climbing wall) at noon today. All LGBTI people, their families and friends are very welcome - just BYO meat, salad, bread or snacks for a shared lunch.
Timbertown Woodworkers Group - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and and freshly harvested foodstuffs and everyone is welcome along!
