South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Back To School
The third term of the 2016 school year begins today and all school-age children attending State schools are required to return to class this morning. Term 3 will conclude on Friday, September 16 with a seventeen day Spring break. Motorists should take note that reduced speed limits around school grounds also begin to apply from today and they can face a steep fine for exceeding them - so drive slowly. Faces Of The South Burnett Photography Workshop - Wondai
A free Faces Of The South Burnett Photography Workshop will be held at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery from 5:00pm to 7:00pm this evening. The workshop is the third of three monthly workshops, and tonight's theme will be portraiture using a flash. Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). Seniors Having A Ball - Murgon
The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a "Seniors Having A Ball" exercise class from 8:30am to 9:30am this morning. The program is designed to address the issues that many have with ageing and it's not just for seniors! It provides light exercise to keep the heart and joints moving, improving coordination and mobility. It also provides a beginner platform to start any fitness activity on. As well as physical fitness, it also has a fun social atmosphere too. The class fee is just $4 for PCYC members or $7 for non-members. More details? Graham House Community Kitchen - Murgon
The Graham House Community Kitchen will be holding its regular Monday morning meetings at the Graham House Community Centre in Taylor Street, Murgon from 10:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning. Community Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results. Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. Community Information Meetings - Blackbutt
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding community information meetings at the Council's Customer Service Centre in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 9:30am to 7:30pm today to provide Timbertowns residents with an update on the progress of the town's supermarket development. 30-minute presentations will be held for invited community groups between 9:30am and noon; for residents between 1:30pm and 5:00pm; and for local businesses from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
