South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Halloween Blue Light Disco - Kingaroy
Special Halloween-themed Blue Light Discos will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy this evening. The Junior Disco (for Primary School students only) will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Entry is $5 (parents must stay with 8s & Under). Dinner In The Driveway - Nanango
A special fundraising event for the McGrath Foundation and Movember will be held from 6:00pm tonight in the grounds of Ringsfield House in Nanango. This is a collective dinner and get-together to support cancer charities. Cost is $50 for a table of 10 (BYO everything: dinner, dinnerware and drinks!) and there will be a charity auction of a stunning sculpture.
Murgon Music Muster
It's back for 2025! Today is Day 4 of the six-day Murgon Music Muster at the Murgon PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon. Invited guest artists - which this year include Allan Caswell, Brendan Radford, Lindsay Waddington, Paul Ricketts, Dean Perrett, Amber Goldsmith, Alice Benfer, Clyde Cameron, Lloyd Back and Clarrie Weller - will be taking to the stage today. The official opening will be held at 1:00pm. Entry fees for this year's Muster are $70 per person for a four-day pass covering Thursday to Sunday; or $35 for today and $45 for Saturday only. Community Piano Concert - Nanango
The ABC has donated a beautiful old piano to Nanango which has found a new home as a "pop-up piano" at the Nanango Energy Centre in Henry Street. Local performers - pianists, singers and musicians of all kinds - will be in action from 8:30am to 10:30am this morning to celebrate! Wambo Wind Farm Chat - Bell
A "coffee catch-up" about the Wambo Wind Farm project will be held from 8:00am to 11:00am today at Pips n Cherries Café at 15 Ensor Street, Bell. This is an opportunity to ask questions about construction of the project as well as community sponsorship and grant opportunities. Oktoberfest Meal Night - Yarraman
Heritage House at 26 Millar Street in Yarraman will be holding their monthly meal night from 6:00pm this evening witha special Oktoberfest theme. Cost is $20 for a two-course meal. Trunk Or Treat - Blackbutt
A special family-friendly Halloween event will be held in car park at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall from 5:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. Local residents have been invited to decorate their car boots and hand out lollies! There'll be prizes for the Best Dressed person and Best Decorated car. Archery Muster - Nanango
The Barambah Bowhunters and Field Archers Association will be holding the first day of the weekend-long Traditional Archery Australia National Muster at their archery range at Bow Hunters Road, off the D'Aguilar Highway (south of Nanango's CBD) from 10:00am this morning. Archers will be coming from all over Queensland to take part, and spectators are very welcome to watch from the clubhouse. The canteen will be open all days. Free camping is also available onsite. Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays (except public holidays) but places are limited so a booking is necessary. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
