Shrek The Musical - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be presenting a matinee performance of "Shrek The Musical" at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 1:00pm this afternoon. This family fun production tells the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess. Tickets to see Shrek The Musical are $30 for adults or $20 for students/concessions and they can be booked online or purchased at the door. Note: There'll be just two more performances: an evening performance next Saturday and a matinee performance next Sunday.
The Long Lunch - Kingaroy
- Hillview Cottages, at 297 Birt Road in Kingaroy, will be holding a Long Lunch from 11:30am to 3:30pm today. There'll be a four-course charity lunch with live music by Tucker & Chop. Heritage Waterhole Rocks - Nanango
The fifth and final day of the 11th annual Heritage Waterhole Rocks rock'n'roll campout festival will get under way at 8:00am this morning at Nanango Showgrounds. Entry today is free! The festival is devoted to all things associated with 1950s and 1960s rock'n'roll with lots and lots of dancing! On stage today will be Mr & Jodie Lee and The RocknRollaBillys through to 1:00pm, followed by karaoke and more dancing. In the show ring, there'll be a display featuring classic cars, hotrods and vintage caravans. Powered and unpowered camping sites are available to be booked at the showgrounds. Everyone is welcome! Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held at Les Muller Park in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around noon today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and freshly harvested foodstuffs from more than 40 stallholders and everyone is welcome along! Taromeo Country Music Club - Blackbutt
- Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding a music day from 10:30am to 2:20pm today at the Blackbutt Golf Club, 51 Langton Road, Blackbutt. Cost is $6. - A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
