Dementia Workshop - Kingaroy
- SBCare and South Burnett cancer support group Birds Of A Feather will be jointly hosting a workshop on dementia in the Apex Room of the South Burnett Senior Citizens Centre at the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) from 9:30am to 12:00 noon this morning. Carol Chapman from Alzheimer's Australia will be a special guest speaker, and the seminar will focus on how our brains age and dementia risk reduction strategies. Admission is by gold coin donation and morning tea will be provided, but an RSVP is essential to assist with catering. You can make one by phoning (07) 4162-7300. Thursday Evening Dance Classes - Kingaroy
- Social Dance Classes will be held in the Apex room of the Kingaroy Senior Citizens Centre at the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) at 6:30pm this evening. You can learn how to do the Gypsy Tap, Pride of Erin or some of the latest sequence dances - and don't worry if you haven’t got a partner, there are plenty of dancers to help you! It doesn't matter if you just want to learn, have been dancing for years or are visiting the area - come along for a great night out with heaps of fun and laughter. St Josephs Bingo - Murgon
- St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Thursday Afternoon Golf - Nanango

School Holiday Entertainment - Kingaroy
- Kingaroy Shoppingworld will be providing free school holiday entertainment at Shop 28A (next to Big W) at 10:00am and 1:00pm today. Shoppingworld will be running Crazy Candles workshops, which show school children how to make their own brightly-coloured candles. The sessions will be held at the same time and place daily until Friday.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
