- The Kingaroy Lions Club will be holding their bi-monthly Dinner Meeting at the Kingaroy Hotel at the corner of Haly and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy (opposite McDonalds) from 6:30pm onwards tonight. South Burnett Tourism Association Meeting
- The South Burnett Tourism Association will be holding a meeting at 5:45pm this evening at Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street in Nanango (meeting starts at 6:00pm). The meeting fee is $9 to cover refreshments, nibbles and entry into the school house and an RSVP by Friday 07-Sep-12 would be greatly appreciated to assist with catering. Busy Needles Club Meeting - Nanango
- The Busy Needles Club will be meeting at Nanango's Uniting Church Hall at 114 Drayton Street from 9:30am to 2:00pm today. The club caters for people interested in patchwork, machine embroidery, sewing and knitting and meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
- A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. - The South Burnett Lively 50s&60s Social Group will be holding a Social 10-pin Bowls Morning at the Kingaroy Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 4 Irvins Street in Kingaroy from 9:15am this morning (bowling starts at 9:30am sharp). The cost is $15.60 for three games plus a $2.00 fee that will be used towards prize money and trophies which will be handed out out at the end of the season in late September. - Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. Grow Your Business Workshop - Goomeri
- The Australian Industry Group, Queensland Government, Wide Bay TAFE and BIEDO will be holding a completely free, 2 day workshop in the BIEDO Boardroom at 10 Moore Street, Goomeri between 9:30am and 4:00pm today and tomorrow. The workshop will be facilitated by Michael Doneman, the founder of Edgeware, and will cover business segmentation, customer value analysis, competitor analysis, attractiveness survey, defining business objectives, marketing issues, creating a "To Do" list and establishing priorities. Workshop tools will then be used to develop a One Page Project Plan which can be easily modified using the same tools as conditions change.
