South Burnett Rugby League Preliminary Grand Finals - Cherbourg
- The South Burnett Rugby League will be playing their Preliminary Grand Final at Jack O'Chin Oval in Cherbourg at 12:00 noon today. The A-grade Cherbourg and Blackbutt teams will play off against one another to decide who'll face the Kingaroy Red Ants in this year's Grand final - and it should be a heck of a match! Cherbourg have had a very good run of wins this season and Blackbutt have turned in some very creditable performances too. So while Cherbourg probably go into the match as favourites based on their overall season performance, there's always the possibility of an upset win by the ever-improving Timbertowners. Spectators and supporters are very welcome! Note: In the U18s, Kingaroy will face minor premiers Eastern Suburbs in the Grand Final today at Salter Oval, Bundaberg.
