QCWA Young Girls' Craft Group - Kingaroy
The QCWA Young Girls' Craft Group will be holding its first meeting for 2014 at the QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. The group is for young girls aged 10 years and older, who can learn useful crafts and home skills such as sewing, knitting, crochet, cooking, healthy eating, catering and presentation under the supervision of QCWA ladies and a supervisor. There's a small $2 charge each day to cover the cost of goods used, but all young girls are very welcome. Rock & Roll Cowboys - Kingaroy

Seafood Smorgasbord - Wondai
Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street, Wondai will be holding another of their popular monthly all-you-can-eat Seafood Smorgasbords from 6:30pm this evening (dinner starts at 7:00pm). Tennis Coaching Sign-On Day - Kingaroy and Nanango
Want to improve your tennis skills? Mr B's Professional Tennis will be holding their Term 1 Sign-On Day at two locations today: the Kingaroy Tennis Courts in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 12:00 noon; and again at the Nanango Town Courts in Brisbane Street, Nanango between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. There'll be a free sausage sizzle at both locations and you're welcome to bring along your tennis gear for some free hits over the net too. Note: Mr B. (aka Brad Boynton) recently returned from assisting at the Brisbane International Tennis Tournament - the lead-up to the Australian Open - so he really knows his stuff. Pool Comp and Karaoke - Blackbutt
Here's a fun way to spend a Saturday! The Blackbutt RSL & CMC at the corner of Muir and Douglas Streets in Blackbutt will be holding a combined Pool Competition and Karaoke Night today. Friendship Markets - Kingaroy
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at the Senior Citizens Centre in Avoca Street, Kingaroy from 6:30am to around 12:00pm today. Kittens In The Mall - Kingaroy
The South Burnett RSPCA animal shelter will be running "Kittens In The Mall" outside Mathers at Kingaroy Shoppingworld from 8:00am to 3:00pm today. The shelter currently has lots of kittens, and if you're looking for a new pet today is a great opportunity to see the wide range on offer. Kittens will be available for $199 (which includes a full kitten starter pack).
Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman St, Kingaroy will be running bingo matches from 7:30pm this evening with over $1000 in prizes on offer. More details from the club on (07) 4162-1404
Saturday Cricket
The South Burnett's 2013-14 A-Grade cricket competition will enter its 10th round today, with Nanango Scorpions coming back from a 4-week layoff to tackle current leaders RSL at the Nanango Sportsgrounds, while Kingaroy Warriors will play Wondai at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy. And in the 11th round of the B Grade competition, RSL will play the Kumbia Rattlers at Taabinga State School; Warriors will play Barambah at Kingaroy State School; and Murgon Diggers will play the Murgon Colts at the Murgon Sportsgrounds. Spectators and supporters are very welcome at all games, which are one-day matches.
South Burnett Woodcrafters Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Woodcrafters will be holding their regular Saturday morning meeting at their clubhouse, which is located behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street. from 8:00am to around mid-day today.
