South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Back To School
The third term of the 2014 school year begins today and all school-age children attending State schools are required to return to class this morning. Term 3 will conclude on Friday, September 19 with a seventeen day Spring break. Motorists should take note that reduced speed limits around school grounds also begin to apply from today and they can face a steep fine for exceeding them - so drive slowly. Kingaroy Quota Club Meeting

KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding their fifth Meet & Greet for 2014 at the Southern Cross Austereo building at the corner of Alford and Glendon Streets in Kingaroy at 5:30pm this evening. Guest speakers at tonight's Meet & Greet will include Ali Davenport, the General Manager of Southern Cross Austereo Darling Downs, South Burnett, Granite Belt and Roma and Southern Cross Ten; South Burnett Economic Development Manager Phil Harding; TAFE Business Development Officer Santina Schmocker; and SBRC Mayor Wayne Kratzmann, who'll provide an update on local government matters. There'll also be a raffle for a $2000 advertising package on the Southern Cross Austereo network. Admission to the Meet & Greet itself is $10 - which includes light refreshments - and everyone is welcome, but to assist with catering an RSVP by July 11 would be greatly appreciated. Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be holding their regular Monday afternoon indoor bowls and cards competitions at their centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) from 1:00pm to around 4:00pm today. Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. The group have a welcoming, inclusive and fun approach to singing and meet every Monday except for school holidays. Youth Choir Practice Afternoon - Wondai
The South Burnett Youth Choir will be holding their regular Monday afternoon practice sessions at the Anglican Church Hall in Baynes Street, Wondai from 4:00pm to around 6:30pm today. The Junior SBYC will practice at 4:00pm; the Concert Choir at 4:30pm; and the Senior SBYC at 5:30pm. The choir offers group and (optional) solo singing of pop and classical music under instruction from qualified teachers, and supports the school music curriculum. New singers are always very welcome! Monday Night Zumba - Wondai

Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
