South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Nanango Country Lifestyle Expo
The Nanango Show Society will be holding the second (and final) day of their third annual Nanango Country Lifestyle Expo at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 7:00am to 5:00pm today. The Expo will include - amongst many other things - the Dexter Cattle Show, the Queensland Alpaca Colourbration Show and a Team Penning Competition. There'll also be a $20 per head fleece dying workshop running at 9:00am this morning (fleece and dyes provided). The Expo is free to the public and a fun day out for the whole family, and the Show Society's canteen will be operating today too. Everyone is welcome! More details? Murgon CBD Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets offer locally-made crafts, foods and produce and are always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stall-holders are always welcome too! More details? Bored In Blackbutt Board Games
The Blackbutt Board Gaming Club will be playing board games at Nukku Nook (the Rail Trail Head in Hart Street, Blackbutt) from 1:00pm to around 4:00pm today. Players can bring along their own games if they wish, and the $4 meeting fee covers a great afternoon tea and room hire. Highway Clean-Up - Nanango
NaTDA (the Nanango Tourism & Development Association) will be holding their quarterly clean-up of the D'Aguilar Highway south of Nanango from 9:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning. NaTDA's "Adopt-A-Spot" is the stretch of the D'Aguilar Highway from the Tarong turn-off to Brown Street, and the group meet there four times a year to clean up litter as part of the "Clean Up Australia" campaign. Note: Today's quarterly clean-up was originally scheduled for June 15, but had to be cancelled at the last minute due to rain. Sunday Afternoon Music - Wondai
The Wondai Hotel & Cellars in Haly Street, Wondai will be holding a relaxed Sunday afternoon of live music from 11:30am onwards today. Lunch and dinner will be available in the Cellar's restaurant and pizzas will be availble on the rear deck too. More details from the Cellars on (07) 4168-5274.

Lunch In The Country Smorgasbord - Wondai
Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street in Wondai will be holding another of their regular Lunch In The Country Smorgasbords from 12:00pm to 2:00pm today. The buffett features a selection of hot dishes, roast meats, salads, as well as sweets and tea of coffee, and the cost is a modest $15.00 per person for a really great feed (BYO). Sunday Afternoon Darts - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Sunday afternoon Pot Luck Doubles darts competitions from 11:00am to 4:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $10 playing fee applies, but that includes a great BBQ lunch.
