NAIDOC Week Health Expo - Cherbourg
To celebrate NAIDOC Week (which began yesterday), health workers will be holding a Health Expo at the Welfare Hall in Cherbourg from 10:00am to 2:00pm today. The Expo will provide free tests for blood glucose levels, weight, haemoglobin and blood pressure - all of which could possibly be early indicators of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, which are more prominent in indigenous communities - and a free BBQ lunch will be available too, along with advice on healthy lifestyles. Nanango Senior Citizens Club Meeting
- The Nanango Senior Citizens Club will be holding their regular first Monday of the month meeting at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango at 1:00pm this afternoon.
