Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt

The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their latest bi-monthly Sunday social for 2014 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:30am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists, including the Blue Denim Country Music Club. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Garage Sale & Old Style Fete - Kingaroy

St Mary's Catholic College at 10 Kent Street in Kingaroy will be holding a Garage Sale & Old Style Fete in their school grounds today as a fundraiser for 14 year old Pacey Clegg, who's been selected to represent Australia in the Australian Futsal Team. There'll be a BBQ, arts and crafts, a second-hand book stall, trash and treasure stalls, a cake and bake stall, displays, lots of great games and much more. Everyone is welcome! Murgon RC Club Race Meeting - Murgon

The Murgon RC Club for radio-controlled cars will be holding Round 2 of their Winter Series at Angelfield Aerodrome at the end of Macalister Street, Murgon from 10:00am to 2:00pm today (drive w-a-y past the Showgrounds along the dirt road and through the gate marked "Private Property"). Competitors will be racing six gruelling 7-minute laps before the adrenalin packed finals, and there'll be a BBQ lunch and soft drinks available too. Spectators are more than welcome to come along for free, but to take part in the racing you'll need to be a PCYC member ($30 per year for an adult or $60 per family - you can join up on site today) and the fee for racing is $10.
