A 45-year-old woman was being questioned by police on Monday after a man was allegedly struck and killed by a vehicle at Fernvale on Sunday evening.
A police spokesperson said Ipswich detectives have begun a homicide investigation.
Emergency services were called to Stoneywood Street just before 6:00pm on Sunday after reports that a vehicle had struck a man.
The body of a 50-year-old Fernvale man was found.
A crime scene was declared, and a 45-year-old woman, known to the man, was taken into custody at the scene.
Investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death are continuing.
