A community meeting for residents affected by the Teelah bushfire will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall from 5:30pm on Wednesday (September 23).
Queensland Fire Department personnel will be available at this meeting if anyone has any questions.
A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) met on Wednesday morning.
Their status remains at “Stand Up” and the committee is continuing to provide support to the Queensland Fire Department about the fires in the Teelah area.
The LDMG will meet again on Wednesday at 3:00pm.
The group has again urged the community to remain calm and stay safe.
If people need to leave their properties, they have been urged to go to family and friends in the first instance, however, a place of refuge is available at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall.
It will remain open into Wednesday night. Residents are invited to attend the hall if they require assistance or further information.
The Blackbutt Showgrounds is available for residents that require a place for their animals.

UPDATE: The LDMG met on Wednesday afternoon and remains at “Stand Up”.
A spokesperson said the bushfire was continuing to burn near Stretton Drive and this was expected to continue over the coming days.
There are road closures at Wild Deer Drive, Old Esk Road (north of Scott Close) and Stretton Drive.
