A community meeting for residents affected by the Teelah bushfire will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall from 5:30pm on Wednesday (September 23).
A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) met on Wednesday morning.
Their status remains at “Stand Up” and the committee is continuing to provide support to the Queensland Fire Department about the fires in the Teelah area.
The LDMG will meet again on Wednesday at 3:00pm.
The groups has again urged the community to remain calm and stay safe.
If people need to leave their properties, they have been urged to go to family and friends in the first instance, however, a place of refuge is available at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall on Wednesday.
Residents can attend the hall if they require assistance or further information.
The Blackbutt Showground is also available for residents who require a place for their animals.
