Time is running out for artists to submit an offer to paint a mural on a privately owned wall near the start of the South Burnett Rail Trail in Kingaroy.
South Burnett Regional Council has gained permission from the owner of the building for a mural to be painted on the concrete masonry block wall.
Council is seeking to hire an artist – or an artists’ collective – to create a public artwork in keeping with Council’s preferred design concept in this key location.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for a talented artist to help bring the South Burnett Rail Trail to life through a vibrant public artwork,” Cr Danita Potter said.
“This is a chance to brighten up the rail trail, showcase local talent and create something that residents and visitors can enjoy for years to come.”
Submissions close at 2:00pm next Tuesday (September 22).
