Four recipients have been recognised in the latest round of Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington’s Local Hero grants.
Each will receive $250 in recognition of the positive impact they make in their local communities.
Mrs Frecklington said the grants were a simple way to shine a spotlight on people and organisations doing great things across the electorate.
The Round 29 recipients are:
- Nanango Hospital Auxiliary
- South Burnett Antique Motor Club Inc
- Ben Mangan
- Kilcoy Motocross Club
“One of the best parts of this program is having the opportunity to celebrate the people who help make our towns and communities such great places to live,” Mrs Frecklington said.
“We are fortunate to have so many wonderful people across the Nanango electorate who are passionate about their communities,”
“Congratulations to this round’s recipients. I hope these grants provide a small boost and serve as recognition of the great work being done right across our region.” Said Deb.
The Local Hero Grants recognise everyday people who are making a difference in their own way, whether through sport, community groups, events, volunteering or simply lending a hand when needed.
