Applications have opened for the next intake of apprentices and trainees at the Tarong power stations.
The following opportunities are available:
- Electrical Instrumentation Apprentice (five years)
- Mechanical Fitter Apprentice (four years)
- Laboratory Techniques Trainee (three years)
- Business Trainee (two years)
“The program is designed to give job seekers the skills and hands-on experience needed for a successful career in the energy industry while gaining their qualifications through TAFE,” Stanwell General Manager Southern Generation Mick Joy said.
“They’ll join the 27 apprentices and trainees we currently have on site at Tarong power stations.
“Apprentices will spend four to six weeks a year studying at the TAFE Queensland Kingaroy campus and the remainder of their time will be spent onsite at Tarong power stations.”
Applications close on Sunday, July 20.
