The South Burnett Community Orchestra has invited local community groups to be a part of its “Christmas in the Community” concert at the Kingaroy Town Hall on November 28.
Groups have been invited to set up a display to share what their organisation has to offer.
Groups could include:
- Sporting clubs and associations
- Arts and cultural groups
- Service and volunteer organisations
- Youth and children’s groups
- Community support organisations
- Hobby, interest and recreational groups
- Performing arts organisations
- Historical and heritage groups
- Other local clubs and community organisations
The display could include information about the group, photographs, uniforms, equipment, information about activities and upcoming events, membership information, demonstrations or anything else that helps showcase the group.
The concert will begin at 6:30pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm.
“Our aim is to make Christmas In The Community more than simply a concert,” event co-ordinators Susan Mollenhauer and Caz Dingle said.
“We would love it to be a celebration of the people, organisations and groups that make the South Burnett such a vibrant community, while also giving local groups an opportunity to connect with residents and perhaps attract some new members along the way.
“Groups will be able to access the Kingaroy Town Hall and forecourt from Saturday morning to prepare their display.
“As a thank you for taking part, each participating group will receive two complimentary tickets to the evening concert.”
Groups interested in taking part should contact the SBCO by email
