Kumbia Race Club will be holding its annual “Flemington In The Bush” Melbourne Cup race meeting next Tuesday (November 3).
It will be a six-race meeting with Race 1 scheduled to leave the barriers at 1:00pm.
The theme is “A Splash Of Pink” for the Fashions of the Field, and there’ll also be a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation.
As well as the Kumbia Cup (1400m), there’ll also be two special feature races: a heat of the Burnett To The Beach series (1200m), and a Country Stampede Qualifier (1000m).
Of course, there’ll also be full TV coverage of the races from Flemington, including the Melbourne Cup at 2:00pm.
On-course bookies will be taking bets on both the local and interstate races.
A bus will be running from Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel to help punters enjoy the day without the hassle of driving. The bus will leave the Carrollee at 11:00am; there are only limited seats available, so call the hotel on (07) 4162-1055 to book a seat.
Entry to the racetrack is $20, or $15 if tickets are booked online.
