More than 120 swimmers were in action at the Kingaroy Aquatic Centre on Saturday for the Kingaroy Redfins’ annual swimming carnival.
Club volunteer Michelle Black said swimmers aged 7-years-and-under to 18-years-and-over were competing from 23 clubs in a total of 54 events.
Points – and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters – were awarded to swimmers aged 8 and above in every 50m, 100m or 200m event.
Younger swimmers received participation awards.
At the end of the carnival, all points were tallied and the carnival’s male and female age champions were named.
The Redfins hold club nights at the Kingaroy Pool every Tuesday from 5:30pm (October-March).
