Applications for the 2024 Red Earth Community Leadership Program at the Bunya Mountains have been extended until midnight on Monday, November 13.

The program is held over two weekends in February and March.

A Red Earth spokesperson said people who had completed the program had described it as “transformative”.

“The program had a huge impact on my life, both personally and professionally,” 2019 alumni Amanda Wenck said.

“To be able to carve out some time to focus on growth, spend time with like-minded people, and learn so many valuable skills that I still implement to this day was such a valuable experience.”

There are a number of bursaries available to fund spots in the program, providing an opportunity for applicants to attend at no cost.

“Everybody is a leader in some way,” Red Earth general manager, and 2018 alumni, Melinda Jones said.

“We all have spheres of influence and a part to play within our communities and our region.”

Applications are invited from across the South and North Burnett, Cherbourg, and the Burnett catchment area, regardless of background or age.

No prior leadership experience is required.
