Kingaroy State School’s students started busily drawing, printing, writing, crafting, designing and sewing when they came back from their winter vacation, creating entries for this year’s Education On Show competition.

Education On Show is devoted to showcasing work by Queensland students from Prep to Year 10 as part of the Brisbane Ekka.

The competition covers a wide variety of contemporary, curriculum-related skills and activities and is open to all students to enter.

This year, Education On Show’s theme was “Let It Grow”.

Its central message was that without growth, there would be no change. What might be a small idea or plan of action today could have a huge impact on the future.

Winning works in this year’s competition were put on display at the Ekka, which drew an estimated 400,000 visitors this year.

The students were delighted at the opportunity to showcase their work to such a large audience.
