Police have been catching speeding motorists at a number of locations in Kingaroy

Police have been cracking down on speeding motorists after complaints from local residents at several locations in Kingaroy.

On Friday, police conducted speed enforcement in First Avenue, which is a 60km/h zone, and in the Taabinga State School zone.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said a number of drivers were issued with infringement notices.

A 20-year-old Kingaroy man has been issued with a notice to appear in court after being pulled over by police in Avoca Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday afternoon.

His driving licence had been cancelled because of demerit points.

A 33-year-old man will appear in Holland Park Magistrates Court later this month after being located by Kingaroy police at a home in Wooroolin on Friday morning.

He will face a charge of shop stealing related to the alleged theft of sports clothing items from an Amart Sports store in Brisbane.

Police will allege the man was captured on CCTV at the store.

A 29-year-old Kingaroy man has had his car’s number plates confiscated for 90 days after he was stopped by police on the Bunya Highway.

The driver will face a charge of disqualified driving in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 26.

Two local drivers will face court on drink-driving charges after RBT checks in Kingaroy and Nanango on Sunday morning.

At 11:00am, police tested a 30-year-old female driver in Ivins Street. Police will allege she had a BAC of .064.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 26.

About the same time, police tested a 43-year-old male driver in King Street, Nanango.

He allegedly recorded .075 BAC.

He will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court later this month.
