The current Australian Super Sedan Champion Matt Pascoe captured a thrilling win in Round 2 of the Queensland Super Sedan Series held at Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday night.

Pascoe had a titanic battle with Darren Kane who ran side by side, lap after lap and during the closing stages of the 30 lap feature race continued the battle through lap traffic.

The two swapped positions multiple times but it was Matt Pascoe who was able to hang on to capture the win ahead of Darren Kane and Matthew Williams.

In the other events, Todd Doyle led from start to finish to record his third feature race win of the season after a dominating performance in the Modified Sedans.

Doyle started from pole position in the feature and was never troubled but the tussle behind him for the minors was brilliant to watch, which ended up seeing Max Clarke hold on for second just ahead of Kerry Lack.

The Production Sedan feature was a race that saw just about everything possible happen. After numerous stoppages and some fantastic racing, Josh Arthur captured the win ahead of TJ Horne and Ryan Kable.

Kevin Britten was unstoppable in the V8 Dirt Modified feature, powering his way to the victory lane ahead of David Clark and Ray Klarich.

Earlier in the night, Darren Kane lowered the Super Sedan one lap record to 14.612 seconds, which shaved a tenth of the old lap record.

Speedway will return to the Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway on November 9 for the return of the V8 Sprintcars.
