It looks the Division 6 by-election in the South Burnett Regional Council could go down to the wire, with the margin closing slightly between Don Pinwill and Ros Heit.
At the close of counting this afternoon the numbers were:

- Michael Magnussen 185
- Peter Powne 176
- Marc Peters 172
- Ron McKinnon 88
Preferences are expected to be distributed on Tuesday.
