All South Burnett schools will be open for normal classes on Thursday, January 31.

Nine schools – at Cherbourg, Durong South, Goomeri, Kilkivan, Moffatdale, Wheatlands, Widgee, Windera and Woolooga – were closed on Tuesday in response to problems caused by recent floods.

Four of these remained closed yesterday – Cherbourg, Kilkivan, Moffatdale and Woolooga – but all flood-related issues have now been fixed.

However, Cherbourg’s Nurunderi TAFE Campus was closed today due to an interruption to its water supply.

The Institute will take advice from the local authorities about when it will be appropriate to re-open, and students should check the SQIT Facebook page for updates.
