Mid-Week Markets - Kingaroy

Growing The Burnett will be holding their Mid-Week Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 7:30am and 12:00 noon. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon

St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.

Toowoomba Show Holiday

Toowoomba Regional Council's Customer Service Centres and offices will be closed for the Royal Toowoomba Show holiday today. The Show Holiday will not affect kerbside rubbish collections, and the main Council's service number 13-18-72 will be manned from 8:30am to 5:00pm, along with its after-hours emergency number. The Show Holiday does not apply to residents of Yarraman, Upper Yarraman and Cooyar, who will celebrate the the South Burnett's Show Holiday on Monday, August 11 along with Goomeri and all the South Burnett Regional Council's area.

Women's Shed - Kingaroy

The Kingaroy Women's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be holding a gold coin donation "Lift For Life" strength training program at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 1:00pm to 2:00pm this afternoon. This new program - which offers a six-month, low cost course in strength training for people of all ages and fitness levels - will help prevent and/or manage Type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
