Junior Blue Light Disco - Kingaroy

The second bi-monthly Junior Blue Light Disco for 2014 will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. Entry to the Junior Disco is restricted to young people aged 14 and below who can produce their student ID, and in addition to a fun night out tonight's disco will also have some great prizes to be won as well, courtesy of this month's sponsors BJT Building and Freeman’s Cabinetmakers. A Purple Affair - Booking Deadline

Today is the deadline to book for tomorrow night's charity night to raise funds for Epilepsy Action Australia at Kingaroy Town Hall. The dinner is the culmination of Michael Sanford's epic circumnavigation of the South Burnett on a pushbike. Tickets are $30 each (or $500 for two tables of 10 people) which includes a three-course meal and live music by local singer Lloyd Back. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy

The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 11:00am to 1:00pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $35 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
