Home-Based & Startup Business Expo - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be running a Home-Based & Startup Business Expo in the KCCI Hub at 195 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 8:30am onwards today. As the name implies, the Expo will feature home-based and start-up businesses and it's being jointly sponsored by the KCCI, NBN Local, Business Leap and Garden Grove Landscape Supplies. Admission is free.
Community Wellness Morning Tea - Murgon
- Griffith University medical students will be providing a free morning tea and a free health check at Murgon Town Hall in Gore Street, Murgon from 9:00am to 10:30am this morning, along with a short talk about how to keep well mentally and physically. The students have been spending their academic year immersing themselves in our communities and our health care teams, supported and supervised by local medical staff. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, nor is it allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
