South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Offroad Outlaws Enduro - Proston
Today is Day 1 of the three-day Offroad Outlaws Enduro 4x4 event which will see some of Australia's top off-road buggy drivers test their skills on tracks near Proston. The event is being held on a private property on Melrose Pump Station Road (signs will be showing the way off Proston-Boondooma Road). There'll be food vendors on site, night events and spectator prizes. Single day spectator tickets are $51.30 for adults (over 16) or $25.80 for children (aged 5-16). Under 5s are free. There are also three-day passes (includes camping) available as well as family passes. Tickets can be booked online. The Mousetrap - Nanango
The Nanango Theatre Company will be debuting their latest production, Agatha Christies' record-breaking whodunnit "The Mousetrap", at their theatre on the corner of Elk and George streets, Nanango at 7:00pm tonight. Tickets are $25 for adults or $20 for concessions, and they can booked booked online. Note: Five additional performances - including two matinees - will also be held at the same venue.
Country Roadtrippin' - Kingaroy
POSTPONED Today is Day 1 of Hillview Cottages' two-night "road trip" through Australian country music at their venue at 297 Birt Road, Kingaroy. The fun on the Booie Range gets under way at 4:00pm and will run through to 9:00pm, with dinner provided by JC Catering. Tonight's musicians are 2023 CCMA junior songwriter of the year Amy Ryan, 2024 Thornton Young award winner Paul Ricketts and six-times Golden Guitar winner Dean Perrett. Pre-booking is a must as there are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets can be booked online
Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery, on the roundabout at Wondai, will be opening its April exhibition from 6:00pm tonight. This month, the gallery is hosting its annual Wondai Garden Expo Art Competition, which offers cash prizes for both young and old artists! As usual, there'll be hot and cold finger foods and punch, glasses of wine, live music and lots of fun socialising. Admission is just $5 and everyone is welcome to attend. More details? Arts And Crafts Day - Linville
Arts and crafts sessions are held fortnightly on Fridays from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Linville Hall, 40 George Street. Everyone is welcome! BYO craft or just drop in and enjoy a chat.
Kumbia Campdraft
POSTPONED The first day of the three-day Kumbia Campdraft will be held at the Kumbia Sportsgrounds, off Bell Street in Kumbia. Today's events include rounds of the Combined Novice and Ladies, Restricted Open, Combined Maiden and Maiden 4 Maiden plus the finals of the Ladies and Novice. Admission to watch all the action is 100% free for spectators and a licensed bar will be running. There's also free overnight camping in the Sportsgrounds all weekend if you want to stay over. Friday Night At The Shed
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays (except public holidays) but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Friday Social Golf & Dinner - Proston
The Proston Golf Club, on Brigooda Road, Proston, will be holding a Friday afternoon social golf game today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and everyone is welcome. Cold beer and snacks will also be available at the clubhouse from noon, and the club's very popular Friday night dinner will be running after 5:30pm. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
