Wondai Autumn Garden Expo
The first day of the weekend-long 2025 Wondai Autumn Garden Expo will be held at the Wondai Sports Grounds off the Bunya Highway just north of Wondai's CBD from 8:00am this morning through until 4:30pm this afternoon. The Expo has become one of the South Burnett's signature annual events as well as one of the largest gardening shows of its type in south-east Queensland, drawing thousands of keen gardeners to Wondai every April. As well as the usual wide range of plant and garden-related product displays, this year's Autumn Garden Expo will also feature the Wondai District Garden Club's Horticultural Show, along with food and drink stalls. Guest speakers discussing gardening topics will be presenting from about 11:00am. Adult admission to the Expo is just $5 per day or $8 for a two-day pass, and children are under 15 are free.
Rabbits Eat Lettuce - Stonelands
The long-running Rabbits Eat Lettuce electronic music festival has relocated to the South Burnett this Easter! The five-day event is being held on a 3500 acre private property, "Crystal Springs", on Stonelands Road at Stonelands. As well as heaps of music until 2:00am every night (across four stages), there'll be workshops running from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily, yoga and dance classes and even a roller skating rink! There's glamping available as well as powered sites for vans and RVs. Tickets can be booked online but there's also a 20 per cent discount available for South Burnett residents (show a photo ID with your home address to buy a ticket at the front gate). There'll also be a day parking area for local residents if you don't want to camp overnight onsite.
Easter Saturday Live Music - Linville
Dave Redsell will be performing live at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 11:00am to 3:00pm today. Then popular local duo MISfITZ (aka Rob and Clare Fitz-Herbert) will take over, playing from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The hotel's kitchen will also be operating from 11:00am for lunch, dinner and snacks and there's free camping across the road or paid accommodation at the pub if you want to stay overnight. David Lynch Jr - Maidenwell

Kingaroy Friendship Markets
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around noon today. The markets feature a range of arts, crafts, food stalls, fruit and garden stalls, plus unusual bric-a-brac. New stallholders are always very welcome.
Kids Rising Star Karaoke - Yarraman
- The Royal Hotel, at 18 Toomey Street, Yarraman, will hold Heat 2 of its karaoke competition from 5:00pm tonight, in conjunction with the pub's pig-on-the-spit dinner from 6:30pm. There'll also be a heat on May 17.
Easter Egg Hunt - Kingaroy
- Taabinga Lions Club will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt from 10:00am to 11:00am today at Mitre 10, Rogers Drive, Kingaroy. Find the eggs and return to the Lions BBQ area to swap for a chocolate egg! Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Rufus Jack - Kingaroy
Popular local rockers Rufus Jack will be playing live and loud for Easter at the Commercial Hotel at the corner of Glendon and Haly Streets, Kingaroy from 8:00pm tonight in the Beer Garden. Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Nanango Men's Shed
- The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango, will be open from 8:30am to around noon today for its regular Saturday get-together. Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today.
