Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster - Boondooma
The sith and final day of the Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today. This popular annual campout week is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! The annual festival features lots of Australia's top bush balladeers and poets (more than 20 will be appearing at the Muster this year) along with walk-up artists. The Muster routinely attracts hundreds of caravanners plus day-trippers and in addition to lots of non-stop music there'll also be great camp oven meals (on Friday and Saturday), food and drinks, a licensed bar and stalls. Today's activities will start with a church service and poets breakfast at 8:00am followed by Gospel music by Brian Letton at 10:00am. Today's roster of musicians also includes Kerri Perrett, Dean Perrett, Kylie Castle, Amber Goldsmith, Ashley Cook, Matt Scullion, Allan Caswell and Jeff Brown. The festival will wind down at 4:00pm. Kilkivan Community Garden & Railway Markets
- The monthly Kilkivan Community Garden & Railway Markets - held on the last Sunday of the month (February to November) are on again from 7:00am this morning at 2a Bligh Street (opposite the hotel. For more information, or to book a stall, phone Deborah on 0448-749-727.
Bunya Mountains Markets
The Bunya Mountains Markets, held on the last Sunday of every month, will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafés like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Café will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. Walking trail maps will be available from both cafés, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a stroll through the adjoining National Park. More details? Hivesville Country Markets
The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at Memorial Park (opposite the Hivesville Hotel in Main Street) from 7:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month (except December) and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Geoff Stephens - Linville
- Solo singer Geoff Stephens will be performing at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 11:00am until 2:00pm today. The hotel's kitchen will also be operating from 11:00am for lunch and snacks and there's free camping across the road or paid accommodation at the pub if you want to stay overnight. More details? Manumbar Campdraft
The final day of the three-day 63rd Annual Manumbar Campdraft will be held at the Manumbar Campdraft Grounds at 3896 Manumbar Road today, kicking off at 6:00am this morning. Today's events will include the Norm & Gloria Franz Memorial Junior Draft, the Douglas Porter Memorial Juvenile Draft and the John Smith Memorial Open Draft. Free on-site camping is available if you want to stay over. Admission to the campdraft is 100% free for spectators and everyone is welcome. Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Community Pickleball - Woolooga
- Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
- A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
