Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster - Boondooma
Day 5 of the six-day Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today. This popular annual campout week is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! The annual festival features lots of Australia's top bush balladeers and poets (more than 20 will be appearing at the Muster this year) along with walk-up artists. The Muster routinely attracts hundreds of caravanners plus day-trippers and in addition to lots of non-stop music there'll also be great camp oven meals (on Friday and Saturday), food and drinks, a licensed bar and stalls. Today's activities include a walk-up poets breakfast at 8:00am followed by today's roster of musicians which includes Ged & Trudy Hintz, Pete Smith, Kylie Castle, Clyde Cameron, Alice Benfer, Amber Goldsmith, Kerri Perrett, Ken Lindsay, Allan Caswell, Matt Scullion, Dean Perrett and Jeff Brown. The official opening will be held at 2:00pm with the presentation of the walk-up winners at 3:30pm. Dinner is at 5:00pm. Bush camping is also available on site. 2025 Harvey Norman Qld Maroons Series Launch - Kingaroy
The 2025 Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons Series Launch will be held from 5:00pm (6:00pm start) this evening in the Old Hangar at 'Bethany', 218 Peterson Drive, Coolabunia. Cost is $100 which includes a sit-down dinner with the team and the future stars of the game. Tickets can be booked online
Relay For Life Golf Day - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Freight Express Relay For Life Golf Day - a fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland - will tee off today with a shotgun start at 10:00am at the Kingaroy Golf Club in Youngman Street. Rugby League - Kingaroy
Kingaroy Red Ants will be hosting today's South Burnett rugby league games at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, alongside a Queensland Maroons Fan Day Footy Fest. The season opening games for U6s through to U12s will be played plus there will be activities of the kids from 11:00am to 2:00pm and an opportunity to meet players from the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons (these are the best female rugby league players in the State!). In Under 14s, Cherbourg will play Kingaroy at 1:30pm, followed by two A Grade SBRL games: 2:30pm Cherbourg v Wondai; and 4:00pm Kingaroy v Murgon. The canteen will be open all day and the licensed bar will open when the A Graders hit the field. Entry is $2 and everyone is welcome!
Anzac Morning Tea - Murgon

The 55 Million Years Ago museum and art gallery at 73 Macalister Street, Murgon, will be hosting a morning tea, art and craft viewing from 10:00am to noon this morning. The winners of the gallery's inaugural art competition, commemorating Anzac Day, will be announced at 11:30am. The winner will take home $300 cash. There will also be a raffle drawn during the afternoon as well as the opportunity to vote for the People's Choice. Churchyard Op Shop Markets - Nanango
- The Anglican Churchyard Op Shop, at the corner of Drayton and Burnett Streets in Nanango, will be open from 7:30am to around 11:30am today. There'll be stalls selling plants, craftwork, books, bric-a-brac and lots more, as well as a $3 sausage sizzle and tea and coffee for a gold coin donation. Manumbar Campdraft
Day 2 of the three-day 63rd Annual Manumbar Campdraft will be held at the Manumbar Campdraft Grounds at 3896 Manumbar Road today, kicking off at 6:00am this morning with the Leon Franz Memorial Novice Draft and Pony Club events from 10:00am. The Warren Hockey Memorial Restricted Open will be run this afternoon. This year's campdraft features Maiden, Novice, Open, Juvenile and Junior drafts, along with today's pony club events. Free on-site camping is available if you want to stay over. Admission to the campdraft is 100% free for spectators and everyone is welcome. Come & Try Dragon Boating - BP Dam
The Barambah Dragons dragon boat club invites people to try out the ancient Chinese sport of dragon boat racing at Bjelke-Petersen Dam from 9:00am (for a 9:30am paddle-off) on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Paddles and gear will be supplied but participants should wear closed shoes that can tolerate getting wet and bring along sunscreen, water, a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. The event is free and will be followed by a gold coin donation sausage sizzle. Everyone is welcome! NB. Check the club's Facebook page as times could change due to the weather.
Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
- The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Brian Avery - Linville
Solo entertainer Brian Avery will be performing at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 4:00pm until 8:00pm today. The hotel's kitchen will also be operating from 11:00am for lunch and snacks and there's free camping across the road or paid accommodation at the pub if you want to stay overnight. More details? - The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango, will be open from 8:30am to around noon today for its regular Saturday get-together.
