Easter Monday Public Holiday
- Today is Easter Monday, a public holiday, and most South Burnett business will either be closed today or operating on restricted hours. If you're planning to attend something today, it would be wise to phone beforehand to check they're not taking an Easter break. And if you're driving, be careful - there'll be lots of travellers on the road returning from their Easter break, along with police who'll be monitoring the traffic to ensure public safety.
Rabbits Eat Lettuce - Stonelands
The long-running Rabbits Eat Lettuce electronic music festival has relocated to the South Burnett this Easter! The five-day event is being held on a 3500 acre private property, "Crystal Springs", on Stonelands Road at Stonelands. As well as heaps of music until 2:00am every night (across four stages), there'll be workshops running from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily, yoga and dance classes and even a roller skating rink! There's glamping available as well as powered sites for vans and RVs. Tickets can be booked online but there's also a 20 per cent discount available for South Burnett residents (show a photo ID with your home address to buy a ticket at the front gate). There'll also be a day parking area for local residents if you don't want to camp overnight onsite.
