South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Frozen Jr - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society's youth theatre group will be presenting their last performance of the musical Frozen Jr at the Kingaroy Performing Arts Centre (in the grounds of Kingaroy State High School at the end of Markwell Street) this afternoon from 1:30pm. Frozen Jr is adapted from the Broadway musical based on the hit Disney animated movie "Frozen". Music At The Chapel - Nanango
Richard Ogden and his band will be bringing a two-hour urban folk concert to the Chapel at the Ringsfield House historic precinct from 1:30pm this afternoon. Tickets for this community concert of high energy toe-tapping songs are just $20 and can be booked online. There'll also be a special guest violinist, Heather Smart, and music by the South Burnett's own Nathan Hartley.
Kilkivan Great Horse Ride
The third (and final) day of the three-day 2025 Kilkivan Great Horse Ride will get under way at 6:00am this morning with the start of the Endurance Ride. At Kilkivan Showgrounds, at 88 Mudlo Road, there'll be bush poetry by John Bidgood from 7:00am at the Campdraft Bar followed by Ranch Sorting from 8:00am in the Campdraft Arena and novelty events in the indoor arena. The Kicking Up Dust Youth Talent Quest will begin on the Campdraft Bar Stage at 9:00am and a Paint'n'Sip in the Campdraft Marquee at 10:00am. A Cent Auction will be held at the Campdraft Bat at 1:00pm. Live music with Chev Wilson will also run in the bar area from 11:00am to 1:00pm, and 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Tahnee Georgia - Linville
Singer Tahnee Georgia will be performing live at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville, from 11:00am to 2:00pm today. Admission is free. More details? Phone the hotel on (07) 5424-7280
Murgon Sunday Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 7:00am until about 12:00 noon today. The markets run on the second Sunday of each month and offer locally made crafts, foods and produce - always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stallholders are always welcome too! More details? Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Community Pickleball - Woolooga
Woolooga Community Hall is hosting community pickleball every Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the hall at 8 Thomas Street, Woolooga. Everyone is welcome to come along, including beginners. All equipment is provided at the court, so just bring water!
Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their bi-monthly Sunday social at the Blackbutt Golf Club at 51 Langton Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 2:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by visiting and walk-up artists and there'll also be raffles, door prizes, a licensed bar and meals will be available. Free Sunday Lunch - Kingaroy
A free community lunch is available every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at The Old Railway Station building, O'Neill Square, in Kingaroy. The Community Serving Community Meals Project is co-ordinated by the South Burnett Support Alliance and relies on volunteers from the local community.
