Coffee With A Cop - Kingaroy
- Coffee With A Cop is coming back to Kingaroy today, this time in conjunction with Queensland Road Safety Week. Officers from Kingaroy Police will be at Muffin Break in Kingaroy Shoppingworld from 10:00am to 11:30am. Residents can drop in, have a chat and meet local police - and maybe even sign the large, inflatable car which will be there to raise awareness about road safety.
Cooinda Craft Group - Kingaroy
- The Cooinda Craft Group will be holding its regular Monday morning meeting at the Kingharoy Town Hall Reception Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 1:30pm today. Members of the group pursue a wide variety of crafts and newcomers are always welcome - just BYO favourite craft or come along and learn a new one with other members. Morning tea is supplied as well. Under The Bonnet - Murgon
- To mark Queensland Road Safety Week, the South Burnett PCYC and Clifton Motors will be running a free Under The Bonnet workshop at Clifton Motors in Macalister Street, Murgon from 4:00pm to 6:00pm this afternoon. The workshop will teach participants how to safely change a tyre; the ins and outs of general vehicle maintenance; and safety tips if you have a breakdown. Silver Foxes Line Dancing - Kingaroy
- The Silver Foxes line dancing group will be meeting at the GB Hall inside the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The group offers a fun morning of line dancing and socialising, along with morning tea and it meets every Monday. New members are always welcome - just bring comfortable shoes and a water bottle - and there's plenty of off-street parking available too.
Graham House Community Garden - Murgon
- Graham House's community garden group will be meeting at the garden behind the Graham House Community Centre at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon at 8:00am this morning. Wondai To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
- Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Wondai and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their Wondai address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey to Wondai at around 12:00 noon. Tickets on the bus are $10 per person return and it runs every Monday, but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Line Dancing - Wooroolin
- A line dancing class for beginners and improvers will be held at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 7:30pm to 9:00pm this evening. Class fees are $10 and students should wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle. Classes are held every Monday night.
Wild Horse Walking Club - Yarraman
- Yarraman's Monday Walking Club will meet up at the Driver Reviver Hut in Errol Munt Oval on Margaret Street, Yarraman at 7:00am this morning for a leisurely one hour walk on a concrete path walking circuit. The group helps members stay active and healthy as well as meet new friends, and it has very flexible walking options too. Yoga Class - Blackbutt
- An all-ages Yoga class will run at Blackbutt's Memorial Hall in Bowman Road from 9:00am to 10:00am this morning. Course fees are $4 per session and the class runs every Monday and Thursday, including all public holidays (except for Christmas Day)
Gem & Fossicking Club - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club will be holding their regular Monday meeting at their club's workshop in Shed 2 in the South Burnett Enterprise Centre at 6 Cornish Street, Kingaroy from 8:30am to around 12:00 noon today. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, nor is it allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
